Caladiums Order

In 2008, thanks to Dana Shaw, the club is again offering its popular group caladium purchase. Orders are taken at the March meeting. It’s a great opportunity to buy unusual bulbs at wholesale or discounted prices.

More Plants

There are plenty of opportunity to get more plants, old favorites, or try something new.

Spring Plant Sale

Typically in May, it offers numerous opportunities to acquire plants, and is open to the general public as well as to FCGC members. Volunteering  members are entitled to a free plant to thank them for their work. Refer to the Spring Plant Sale. Page and check the Seedling.

Fall Plant Exchange

Open to members only. Typically held at a member’s house, attendees are asked to bring potted perennial plants to exchange. Check the September Seedling Newsletter for recommendations, guidelines, and rules.

Bulb ordering

This bulk ordering is sometimes offered (depending on whether a member offers to run it): by choosing from a selected list, members are able to order a larger number of bulbs, resulting in a discount to each member.

Informal Exchanges throughout the year

Get to know other members and  what they grow. Gardeners often have extras and are glad to pass them along or swap. So “advertise” your extras, your interests, and your wants, verbally at meetings or in the Seedling (deadline for the next publication is included in each newsletter).
