2008 Calendar

Unless indicated otherwise, all monthly meetings take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday the first week of the month at 7:30 pm at the Falls Church Community Center, 300 Little Falls Street, at the intersection of Little Falls and Great Falls. Meetings typically feature a speaker, discussion of club business, door prizes, snacks, and time to mingle with other members.

May

· Monthly meeting, Tuesday, May 6

Topic: Revamping the Garden for Lower Maintenance/ Speaker: John Peter Thompson, Chairman of the Board at Behnke Nurseries

· Plant Sale Potting & Pricing party: May 3

· Plant Sale: Saturday, May 10 at the Falls Church Community Center, 8 to 11:30 a.m. (set-up starts at 6:30 a.m.)

· Local Garden Tour - Saturday, May 31 (rain date: June 7), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; locations and directions in the Seedling

 

June

· Monthly meeting, Tuesday, June 3 at 7 p.m.

Potluck Social - no formal program; bring a dish to share.

 

July

· Combination Plant Clinic and Plant Swap, Tuesday, July 15

           Open to non-members. Panel-led discussion of gardening matters. For the swap, anyone who brings a plant can take a plant. Please label the plant with either its common or Latin name and any special growing requirements.
